CIPs has developed a strong and lasting relationship with AP Security, one of the leading security events companies within its sector.

Through Skills for Jobs, we have placed nearly 50 candidates into work with the firm over the last three months, and one our candidates will soon be coming back to the college to share his success story with existing security candidates.

Shadet Khan was one of our candidates that had been unemployed for over a year, experiencing personal problems and needing lots of support and motivational advice. Through the security sector stream in Skills for Jobs, Shadet found a job at AP Security and within his first month he was promoted from security steward to supervising security on the VIP lounge.

AP Security regularly attends Newham College to conduct recruitment days and are now looking at implementing a more regular and permanent recruitment pathway between the College and AP for future employment opportunities.
